Good to know

We are a cattle family who homesteaded the Arizona Strip. Our place has horses, cats, dogs, chickens, roosters, goats and cattle. We are completely off the grid. Our water is off a well and our electricity is solar. The rooster crows in the morning. The water can sometimes have a unique odor but is clean and safe and we provide free water bottles. We don’t see them often but there are snakes (mostly blow snakes but rattle snakes are native, scorpions (non poisonous) coyotes and other critters from time to time . If you like petting and feeding the ranch animals please feel free to offer a hand. We are 5,000 feet in elevation and experience all seasons. We are 15 minutes away from the coral pink san dunes.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Wild Toro! I’d been eyeing the Wild West 40 up for a while but with us being on a a road trip we weren’t sure if we could fit in a stay. I am so happy we managed to get a last minute booking there! Of our whole 2 week trip, it was one of our favourite places we stayed ☺️ It was such a lovely experience being able to stay on farmland, getting to pet the animals and watch the sunset over the mountains! The actual cabin was lovely inside, had everything we could need and was immaculately clean. Literally wouldn’t change a single thing about it, thank you so much for giving us an unforgettable stay on our trip from the UK! I just wish we’d have had the time to stay a couple more nights haha Thank you, Lauren & Jay ☺️

Great stay! My family and I decided to make a last minute drive from Ogden to Sand Hollow State Park near Hurricane UT - and we didn’t want to drive another 5 hours north the same day. Found this gem at the last minute the morning of the drive! Less than an hour from the park, and a great deal. Didn’t expect the views or stars to be THAT spectacular!! But they were! We checked in easily via the code. Two kitty cats came to greet up and my doggie. We loved looking at the other animals on property and the lunch veggie garden boxes at each unit. I think all units were booked on the property, but you couldn’t tell because of how quiet and respectful people were. We saw our neighbors from the front deck and said good morning! The bed was massive. It was tall , had to jump up there to get in. The well water was fine! Reminds me of home growing up on a well in Florida. Thanks!
